Ok, well next we have the topics to Blog About

So, as we go through the process, let's talk about some uses for the Blog in your Pre-Candidacy Classes. Here is a brainstorm list for you to think and reflect about:

  • Use it as a walk away
  • Use the blog as warm up
  • Use the Guiding Questions as thought provoking conversation starters
  • Use your curriculum as a guide, and where you leave off in the class, extend the thinking by writing a post.
  • Use this tool in any way that would cause or facilitate reflection for your candidates
Can you add any other items to this list? How would or have you used this type of reflective tool in your Pre-Candidacy courses?

Hello! And welcome to the world of Blogging!

Hi to all of you! I am writing this for us to practice with the Blogging feature, of our Pre-candidacy curriculum. Welcome to this extension of our learning, and using this powerful tool.

Uses of this tool are very unique for this application, and yet, so very aligned with what we are about. REFLECTION! We are 100% about the reflective process of National Board, and what we can do as a result of that process. Making an impact on our students and their learning is what it is all about.

For our purposes, this is a Blog for Facilitators, to help work through the bugs of this process of Blogging our way through the Pre-Candidacy Classes we are teaching. I would like to suggest that we take a few minutes here and write some comments about why we are here, and what we hope to gain by attending this class today!

(in this way I can also model in real time and in an authentic way the commenting process)
